Ahoy, Future Stars! Disney Cruise Line is Casting for the Disney Destiny! 🌟🚢🎭

The magic of Disney is setting sail again, and this time, it’s bigger, bolder, and more enchanting than ever! Disney Cruise Line is officially casting for the opening cast of the brand-new Disney Destiny, set to debut in 2025. If you’ve ever dreamed of performing on stage while exploring the high seas, this is your chance to make that dream a reality!

What’s Happening? 🎶

Disney Cruise Line is seeking mainstage vocalists, dancers, and character performers to bring the wonder and charm of Disney to life aboard their latest ship. This isn’t just any performance gig – this is an opportunity to be part of Disney’s world-class entertainment team and the inaugural crew of the Disney Destiny. Imagine being among the first to perform in dazzling new productions created specifically for this ship!

Who Are They Looking For? 🕺🎤✨

Disney is searching for talented individuals in the following categories:

  1. Mainstage Vocalists 🎤
    Vocal powerhouses with versatility and range to star in Disney's unforgettable live productions. From beloved classics to new musical numbers, your voice could enchant audiences from across the globe!

  2. Dancers 💃
    High-energy performers who can master intricate choreography and add dynamic flair to the show. If you’ve got the moves, Disney wants to see them!

  3. Character Performers 🐭
    Bring the most iconic Disney characters to life! Whether you're channeling Mickey Mouse or stepping into the shoes of a beloved princess, this is your chance to shine.

Rehearsal takes place in Toronto, Canada.  Rehearsal target mid-2025, followed by an onboard contract. Contracts also include competitive pay, travel, room and board, a significant contract completion bonus, and some guest dining privileges.

SEEKING:

  • THE MUSES: CLIO, TERPSICHORE, CALLIOPE, MELEPOMENE, and THALIA.
    These roles are open to all performers.  Male vocal range Bb2-Db5.  Female vocal range A3-G5.  Gods and Goddesses of the arts and proclaimers of heroes. These outspoken, all-knowing, and enthusiastic performers narrate the journey of Hercules through song, wit, and humor.  Experienced vocalists with strong performance in Gospel, R&B, and Pop. Must have the ability to maneuver around tight, complex harmonies and strong command of movement, shape and style.  Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.

  • HERCULES:
    21 – 30 years old.  5’10” and above. Vocal range C3 – B4.  Inclusive.  Strong build.  Clumsy but charming and very charismatic. Strong singer, actor and dancer. Can show deep emotional range.  Will potentially portray Hans in Frozen.  Hans has evil in his core, can change persona on-a-dime.  Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.

  • MEG:
    20 – 30 years old.  5’5” – 5’8”.  Vocal range G3 to C5.  Inclusive.  Witty and a strong minded person. A combination of seductive , stern, and gentle. A commanding beautiful voice and presence.  Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.

  • PHIL:
    30 – 40 years old.  5’7” – 5’11”, strong core.  Vocal range B2 – F#4.  Inclusive.  Rough around the edges and dramatic. Tough and rude with a big heart. A comedic actor that gets easily annoyed.  Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.

  • PAIN & PANIC: 
    20-35 years old.  5’7 to 5’10”. Very comedic both physically and verbally. Strong actors with improv capabilities. All shapes and sizes.  Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.  For example, Peter Pan and Olaf.

  • KRISTOFF: 
    20 to 30 years old.  5’10” and above.  Inclusive.  Strong singer and mover.  Strong physique.  Ice harvester; rugged blue-collar type; a little rough around the edges, yet endearingly awkward; not your typical Disney hero; protector and loyal.  Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory. 

  • DUKE of WESELTON: 
    25 to 35 years old.  5’9” and above.  Inclusive.  Top notch comedic actor with dark and manipulative undertones. Must bring strong movement to the ensemble. Bari-tenor. Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.

  • ANNA:
    20 to 30 years old.  5’3” to 5’8”.  Vocal range A3 to E5 mix/belt.  Inclusive. Strong grounded actor and singer. Must have a natural, yet awkward, comedic charm.  Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.

  • ELSA:
    25 to 35 years old.  5’6” to 5’9”.  Vocal range F3 to Eb5.  Inclusive.  Strong core.  Mezzo Soprano with floaty mix/ powerful belt. Must sing “Let it Go” in the original key effortlessly. Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.

  • TIANA:
    20 to 30 years old.  5’5” to 5’8”.  Vocal range Bb3 to Db5.  Trim with strong core, strong soprano mix, skilled actor. Will also portray other roles/ensemble within the repertory.
