Disneyland Resorts is a popular destination for families, friends, and just about anyone that is looking for a fun getaway or regular visit for those locals. Recently, Downtown Disney District has undergone some renovations adding new dining, retail, and entertainment options. Disney Destinations has released more information regarding when we can expect to see some, or most, of the renovations done allowing guests to add to their vacation magic. 

Coming soon, three new retail locations will be set to open. Two of those locations are opening on December 6, 2024, which is just around the corner! The first is Avengers Reserve which is designed with an industrial feel space. Before entering, guests are welcomed by a 9-foot tall Incredible Hulk coming through the wall. But don’t let that frighten you away from this amazing store! Look to the sky for Spider-Man who has scaled the building to the very top! The shop will feature film props and gaming demonstrations. Obviously apparel will be offered for sale, but there will also be comic books, toys, and other collectibles.

The next new location also will be opening on December 6, 2024. D-Lander Shop will be designed with a modern feel to it, which is quite the opposite of Avengers Reserve. Not only will it offer trendy brands like Kate Spade, Dooney & Bourke, and Pandora Jewelry, but it will also have other fashion labels. Need a minute to think it over, a lounge area is also inside the retail location. 

The final new retail location does not have an official opening date yet, but it is slated for this winter. Disney Wonderful World of Sweets will be full of sweet treats and decorated in fun, bright colors! Items like caramel apples, lollipops, and even a churro toffee will be available for purchase. Wether’s Original Caramel Popcorn will also be available, and made fresh.

As far as dining goes, Parkside Market will bring four separate dining options all under one roof. A second story bar, Vista Parkside Market, will offer signature cocktails and mocktails with a view. The drinks are crafted with local fresh ingredients. The second dining option is a Korean-style bowl restaurant named Seoul Sister. The third location will be serving coffees, lattes, frozen items, and small bites. With the name Sip & Sonder, I’m sure the beverages will be delicious. The final dining experience will be GG’s Chicken Shop. Here the menu will feature chicken sandwiches, sides, and salads. Parkside Market is a one stop shop for the entire family! 

A new location, Porto’s Bakery and Cafe will offer two different experiences. The Bakery and Cafe will offer items like Cheese Rolls, Potato Balls, and other favorite items from their menu. This location of Porto’s will offer their first sit down experience at the Downtown Disney District location. The table service location will also offer a full bar. 

Two additional dining locations have just been announced with this update. Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon, and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ Restaurant will gain a space at Downtown Disney District. With a menu of sandwiches, salads, and steakhouse selection, Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon will likely be a fantastic addition to the area. With that being said, Pearl’s Roadside BBQ Restaurant will be located right next door, and dishing up some finger licking beef brisket, pulled pork, and turkey. All are served with house-made sauces.
